Recently, M.J. Rose of AuthorBuzz shared the following letter from Pauline Hubert, Founder of BookMovement.
She answers the question:

What Do Book Clubs Want Right Now?

Dear Authors & Publishers–

Book Clubs need & want to know about your books now more than ever. They are isolated in their homes, either reading more, way more or way, way more (see chart); and they are rapidly adapting to these new times, rescheduling their in-person meetings on Zoom or Skype or FaceTime. I am urging them to combat the isolation by staying connected. And they get it.

My book club just Zoomed last night—with video–and we loved it.  We had a meeting we could not have had otherwise, and the next Zoom meeting will have even more members.  We can still drink & Zoom, we can still eat & zoom, and best of all we are now reading & zooming.
Our regular promotions—during this COVID-19 outbreak—will now be either e-books for clubs, or individual physical books to book club leaders. And for book clubs who have 4+ star ratings for our dedicated promotions, I will be Zooming with them so we can have a video book review of your book on social media, along with a buy link of the book.
So please stay safe, stay healthy—and know we are working to keep you connected to book clubs.

Right now AuthorBuzz has 10 available spots for authors who would like to be a part of their Zoom Edition Newsletter.
