Louie Cronin’s novel, Everyone Loves You Back, demonstrates her humor, wit, and sharp mind. Not only does her main character Bob Boland have those characteristics in spades, her novel manages to be entertaining while also covering heady issues like the gentrification of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a man bucking heads with middle-age. Bob feels out of place at work, at home, and even in his own changing body. The secret truth is he’s never been a cookie-cutter match for any environment. He’s his own, nobody else’s, and that’s why we love him!
I had the pleasure of chatting with Louie live and asking her questions from our online audience. With an ever-present smile, she offered her reflections on the book, but also on her writing process, radio-producing, fear of rejection, and her experience with being priced out of a neighborhood, and more. I promise you’ll be delighted to hear what Louie has to say about each of these topics because she brings so much warmth and understanding to her subject matter. Along with a boatload of laughs!
